Rest Your Paws Palliative Care & In-Home Euthanasia

Position: Client Care Coordinator

At Rest Your Paws we offer palliative care to elderly and terminally-ill pets in the comfort of their home and a beautiful home euthanasia service when it’s time to say goodbye. We also provide compassionate grief support for loving families and aftercare services. 

We are looking for an empathetic, compassionate and highly organised person to join our Client Care team to help families navigate their beloved pet’s end-of-life journey. Exceptional attention to detail is a must, and the successful candidate will also possess superhuman multitasking abilities!

You will be part of an incredible team of Veterinarians, Vet Nurses, Grief Counsellors and Support Staff across multiple states in Australia. This is a completely remote/working from home role, and you will be trained in person/remotely depending on your location.

Role: 

• Answering client calls in a professional, compassionate and supportive manner 
• Gathering and accurately documenting the client’s and pet’s information
• Supporting families with pet end-of-life decision making and quality of life assessments (extensive training to be provided)
• Scheduling veterinary appointments & cremation arrangements 
• Dealing with a high volume of email correspondence & calls
• Business development opportunities and maintaining relationships with referring veterinary clinics & veterinarians 

Required skills / characteristics:

• Highly motivated to help pets and their devoted families during a really difficult time in their lives
• High level of EQ, compassion and empathy 
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to problem solve & multi-task (using multiple computer tabs/platforms) while engaging in conversation
• Attention to detail and highly organised
• Comfortable using the internet and other custom software

Schedule:

• Casual roles available or part time roles available
• Includes evenings & a rotation of weekends. 
• Ability to work from home

Preferred experience:

• Customer service experience – at least 3 years
• Experience in Veterinary, Palliative Care or Cremation Services
